Autoplay the DVD then select 'Install UGS Update'.2. Or, run the DVD 'launch.exe' program then select 'Install UGS Update'.3. Or, change dir to the ugs_updateXXXX folder then run 'run_ugsupdate.exe'.The above methods will all run 'run_ugsupdate.exe'. It will read the correct%UGII_BASE_DIR% from the Registry and apply the update to the NX 9.0 folder.4. OR, you may follow the instructions below to run ugs_update.bat directly.Change directory to the 'ugs_updateXXXX' folder, check that UGII_BASE_DIR isset to the installed NX 9.0 folder, then execute the 'ugs_update.bat' script.e.g. cd ugs_updateXXXXugs_update.bat /vThe use of UNC pathnames (e.g. \\server\path) is supported by bothugs_update.bat and run_ugsupdate.exe.The script supports a "/v" switch to turn on verbose messages while doing thefile updates. The default operation of the script is non-verbose.The script supports a "/d" switch. This will turn off the scriptconfirmation prompts. Useful for running the update in a batch job.The script also supports a "/p" switch. This will turn off the initialconfirmation prompt but it will display the final 'done' prompt. This is usefulfor running the update in a batch job where a final prompt is desired.NOTE: Before running the ugs_update script, please make sure that theenvironment variable %UGII_BASE_DIR% is set to the base directory ofthe NX 9 release.e.g: set UGII_BASE_DIR="C:\Program Files\Siemens\NX 9.0"Or set the variable to the appropriate installed folder on your system.SILENT UPDATES: Advanced users may use standard DOS output redirection toinstall the update silently with no screen displays, except on errors.For example, to turn off all output:e.g: ugs_update /d >NUL 2>&1- or -run_ugsupdate.exe >NUL 2>&1Caution: you MUST the change "switches" settings in run_ugsupdate.ini to "/d"To redirect the output to a log file.
