summer-time fun! Use
your favorite method of
applique to create four
leaf and stem blocks,
then join them as
shown in the block diagram above. Align centers on
the flower motif and placement guide to position
your flower where the four blocks meet.

Patterns shown are sized for a
6-inch block. Reduce or enlarge
images as needed to suit your
individual project. For traditional
applique add 3/16” turn-under
allowance to each patch.
To make the stems, using strips cut
on the straight of the grain, follow
the procedure explained in the
Basic Lessons–Bias Strips on the
Quiltmaker.com website at:
